Who I Am

I'm 27 years old and living at Fort Drum in NY where my husband is stationed. We met in college back in Ohio and have been together since. I'm licensed to teach middle school and high school English, and I'm currently working on earning my Master's degree through Bowling Green State University in Curriculum and Teaching.

I'm strong-willed, which some people would call stubborn, and I don't give up easily if it's something I'm passionate about. Friends and family mean the world to me. I am proud to say that I am a strong Christian woman who is trying every day to be a better disciple of Christ. I believe everything can be fixed with a kiss, and that pinky promises are unbreakable. I don't take myself seriously. I live and breathe football. I could probably live off of organic food and be a happy girl. I hate rainy days unless I have my husband to cuddle up with. Making cupcakes could in fact be my favorite thing to do for other people. I take way too many pictures. It's the little things in life that matter most and keep me smiling. And in the end, I believe that love can save us all.

My husband and I got married on November 11, 2011 (11/11/11) and our life as husband and wife has been amazing so far.  He's currently serving in the military, and I couldn't be more proud of him!

My family is extremely important to me, and I talk to them close to every day. I'm daddy's little girl, my mom is my best friend, and I can't imagine not having my sister by my side.  While being so far from them has been harder than I'd imagined, they support my husband's career in the military and our life together which has made all the difference for us!

My brother, 1st Lt. James Callahan--he makes me so proud! He is H's best friend, and that's how we met. No, he's not my biological brother, but over the years we have gotten so close that we consider each other to be siblings. He's my confidant and has gotten me through so many rough times. I don't know what I would do without him.

Simply put, I am who I am, unapologetically.
